Project's title: Childlessness in India: Causes and Consequences

Objectives: The specific objectives of the study are:

• To study the levels and differentials of childlessness in India at national, state and district level;
• To study the age patterns of childlessness;
• To assess the aerial/spatial patterns in the incidence of childlessness;
• To identify the factors affecting incidence of childlessness; and finally; and
• To examine demographic consequences of childlessness.
